RECONSIDERING MAXINE WATERS

In the previous blog I referred to Maxine Waters as an accomplishmentless big-mouthed useless loser.

Was I being fair?

In answer please read this:

-H.R. 5569 (111th): National Flood Insurance Program Extension Act of 2010

Legislation to extend the National Flood Insurance Program until September 30, 2010.

Enacted July 2, 2010

-H.R. 4573 (111th): Haiti Debt Relief and Earthquake Recovery Act of 2010

Legislation to urge the Secretary of the Treasury to instruct the United States Executive Directors at the International Monetary Fund, the World Bank, the Inter-American Development Bank, and other multilateral development institutions to use the voice, vote, and influence of the United States to cancel immediately and completely Haiti’s debts to such institutions, and for other purposes.

Enacted April 26, 2010

-H.R. 289 (109th): To designate the facility of the United States Postal Service located at 8200 South Vermont Avenue in Los Angeles, California, as the Sergeant First Class John Marshall Post Office Building.

Enacted July 12, 2005

Are you impressed by those three bills?

If you’re a Maxine Waters fan I hope the answer is yes.  Because in over 28 years as a member of the House of Representatives, that is the sum total of legislation proposed by Rep. Waters that has been enacted into law.  Click here and see for yourself.

That’s it.  3 bills – one which extended an existing act, one which urged the Secretary of the Treasury to act on behalf of Haiti and one which named a postal service building.   The end.

Everything I said about her stands.  My only regret is that I didn’t put it in capital letters.
