Kamala Harris is the former Attorney General of California, and now its Junior Senator.
In my opinion, she is also a case study in legal abuse and political intimidation.
Let me show you why.
First, we have this from Bradford Richardson’s article for the Washington Examiner, dated September 27, 2016 – when Ms. Harris was still California’s AG:
Officials from California Attorney GeneralKamala Harris‘ office and Planned Parenthood collaborated to draft legislation targeting the pro-life activist whose undercover videos showed officials for the nation’s largest abortion provider discussing the sale of fetal body parts, emails show.
The emails depict conversations between the state agency and Planned Parenthood over AB 1671, which would amend the penal code to make secretly recording and disseminating communications with health care providers a crime. Gov. Jerry Brown has until the end of the month to sign or veto the bill.
AB 1671 is a response to the Center for Medical Progress’ undercover video series spearheaded by David Daleiden.
The documents are another indication of Ms. Harris‘ close relationship with Planned Parenthood and call into question the impartiality of her ongoing investigation of Mr. Daleiden, legal experts said.
The emails show Beth Parker, chief legal counsel for Planned Parenthood Affiliates of California, sending multiple drafts of AB 1671 to Jill Habig, who was at the time special counsel to the attorney general.
Now, let’s take a look at the first paragraph of hotair.com’s senior blogger, using the truly unfortunate screen name of “allahpundit”:
This investigation was launched by pro-abortion left-wing hack Kamala Harris, then attorney general of California and longtime recipient of Planned Parenthood lucre, who parlayed her persecution of David Daleiden and the Center for Medical Progress — replete with a police raid of Daleiden’s home in search of undercover footage — into a U.S. Senate seat last November. Not satisfied with merely persecuting Daleiden under existing law, Harris even took the extra step of collaborating with Planned Parenthood to draft new legislation that would make secretly recording medical-care providers a distinct crime. The Daleiden investigation that she began has now been picked up by the new attorney general, Xavier Becerra (himself a Democratic former member of Congress), who decided yesterday to drop a cool 15 felony counts on Daleiden and his partner, Sandra Merritt, for exposing Planned Parenthood’s possible sales of fetal body parts because they recorded the conversations without the subjects’ consent. Unlike most of the 50 states, California requires both parties to a conversation to agree in order for it to be recorded lawfully.
David Daleiden is a hero, who exposed the fact that Planned Parenthood, while pretending to be nothing more than a benevolent women’s health organization, is not only the most prolific abortion mill in the country, but a prolific supplier of human parts from the babies it aborts – often taking special care not to mutilate those parts during the abortion because of their value on the open market.
josef mengele, if he were still alive, would have happily approved.
So what is the message being sent here? It is that if you get the goods on Planned Parenthood, never forget that, it is not going down, you are. So, no matter how ugly what you find out is, don’t dare talk about it in public.
Personally I am 100% in favor of women’s health facilities, I have no problem with contraception, including “day” after” or “week after” procedures, and have no problem with abortion at any time, until there is a beating heart and brain activity (at which point I consider there to be a live child).
But the day that Planned Parenthood is taken down will be a very happy one for me. And any time Kamala Harris is taken down for her actions in this matter won’t trouble me a bit either.
