If you were a Democrat strategist, would you be happy about this, or cringing over it?
From Avery Anapol’s article at thehill.com:
Four Democratic candidates backed by the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) won primary elections for legislative seats in Pennsylvania on Tuesday.
In the Pittsburgh area, Summer Lee and Sara Innamorato, Democrats who are both members of the DSA, won primaries for state House Districts 34 and 21.
The DSA hailed the legislative victories as a huge moment for the socialist movement.
Is this really the message Democrats want to send to Pennsylvania? To the rest of the country?
Does the Democrat Party, in the face of a robust economy, lower taxes and record low unemployment, really want to defend/explain a move toward socialism – which has done such wonders for places like Cuba and Venezuela?
Let’s see if/how Republicans use these results – especially within Pennsylvania.
Should be interesting.
