Is Nancy Pelosi a racist and a sexist?
These are truly damning accusations…or, at any rate, they used to be until those terms were spectacularly overused, exaggerated, thus trivialized by the left to the point where they have lost much of its meaning.
Nonetheless, if a Democrat – a prominent one, the single most important member of the House of Representatives – is called a racist and sexist, it definitely draws our attention.
And who is calling Nancy Pelosi a racist?
Why…it’s Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, who, in little more than a half year as a member of congress, has turned stupidity into an art form.
From Joe Tacopino’s article in the New York Post:
Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez continued her war of words with Nancy Pelosi on Wednesday night, calling the Speaker of the House “outright disrespectful” for criticizing women of color.
The Bronx Democrat was reacting to Pelosi’s repeated attempts at reigning in some of the more left-wing members of her caucus and chastising the freshman reps for tweeting too much.
“When these comments first started, I kind of thought that she was keeping the progressive flank at more of an arm’s distance in order to protect more moderate members, which I understood,” Ocasio-Cortez told the Washington Post.
“But the persistent singling out — it got to a point where it was just outright disrespectful — the explicit singling out of newly elected women of color.”
Uh….point of order, Ms. Ocasio-Cortez: the four loud, leftist, even anti-semitic people Speaker Pelosi is singling out are you, Ayanna Presley, and the virulently Israel/Jew hating ilhan omar and rashida tlaib.
Yes, they are all non-White and female. But the fact that they are non-White and female is NOT why they have been singled out by Nancy Pelosi. They have been singled out because none of the four knows how to shut up, and a lot of what comes out of their mouths is damaging to the party/can be used to show voters that Democrats have gone off the rails.
So what do you want Ms. Pelosi to do? Decide that, because they are all non-White and female, they should get a free pass and be left to mouth off at will?
If you want racism and sexism, that would be a great example.
Meanwhile, if I were a Republican strategist, I would be thanking my lucky stars every day for you and the other three. If Republicans manage to regain the house next year, your treasure-trove of distasteful, offensive, prejudiced and stupid comments will be a major reason.
