How has Robert Mueller reacted to the explosion of information that clearly disqualifies him as Independent Counsel investigating possible collusion between Donald Trump and Russia during last year’s presidential campaign?

Here, excerpted from Pamela Brown, Evan Perez and Shimon Prokupecz’s article at (avidly Trump-hating) CNN, is your answer:

A federal grand jury in Washington on Friday approved the first charges in the investigation led by special counsel Robert Mueller, according to sources briefed on the matter.

The charges are still sealed under orders from a federal judge. Plans were prepared Friday for anyone charged to be taken into custody as soon as Monday, the sources said. It is unclear what the charges are.
A spokesman for the special counsel’s office declined to comment.

Indictments?  People taken into custody?  No specific source and no comment from the special counsel’s office?

NBC and CBS (not ABC yet, but it shouldn’t take long) are already featuring this CNN-generated “information” on their websites.  Don’t expect any accompanying articles about the obvious need for Mueller to recuse himself.

As for CNN’s apparent scoop?  I’ll wait and see whether, who and what – including whether anyone is actually taken into custody.

I suggest you do the same.
