Congratulations, Minnesota, on electing Democrat ilhan omar to congress.
Now: do you know who you elected? I wish I could convince myself you don’t, but that’s not going to happen. So let me remind you of what then-congressional candidate omar said in August, when speaking at a synagogue:
“I support a two-state solution. It is going to be important for us to recognize Israel’s place in the Middle East and the Jewish people’s rightful place within that region,” she said. “I believe right now with the BDS movement, it’s not helpful in getting that two-state solution. I think the particular purpose for [BDS] is to make sure that there is pressure, and I think that pressure really is counteractive. Because in order for us to have a process of getting to a two-state solution, people have to be willing to come to the table and have a conversation about how that is going to be possible and I think that stops the dialogue. I want to make sure that we are furthering policies and advocating for things that get people closer to having that conversation”.
And now that she is elected? This is congressperson ilhan omar, regarding a post to the “Muslim Girl” website:
Do you wonder, as I do, how many “Lost Tribers” (Jews and non-Jews who support Israel but can’t find anti-Israel or anti-Jewish attitudes if they are voiced by a Democrat) were convinced to vote for omar?
Or how many knew about, but ignored, this sentiment, also from ilhan omar, from 2012?
Well, they got what they wanted. This woman, with that position, is now representing them.
I hope they’re good and damn happy about it.
And then we have Rashida Tlaib, another new Israel/Jew-hating Democrat congressperson from Michigan.
More about her in a future blog.
