IN CASE YOU’RE WONDERING WHY MEXICAN MEDIA ARE SO EASY ON THE DRUG CARTELS…

Why do you suppose there is so little news about the horrific violence that wracks Mexico – almost certainly fueled by the drug cartels?

You mist just find the answer in this unbylined (maybe for the writer’s protection) article at Agence France Presse, via channelnewsasia.com:

A Mexican radio journalist was shot dead Saturday in a restaurant in Tabasco state, east of the capital, the latest victim in what has become one of the world´s deadliest countries for the press.

Jesus Ramos Rodriguez was killed in the town of Emiliano Zapata, an official from the local prosecutor´s office told AFP.

The killing comes weeks after a community radio station director was murdered in the northern state of Baja California Sur, in the first such case of 2019.

Racked by violent crime linked to the country´s drug war and fueled by political corruption, Mexico has registered more than 100 journalist murders since 2000, with 10 killed last year alone.

In December 2018, watchdog group Reporters Without Borders ranked Mexico the third-most-dangerous country for reporters after war-torn Afghanistan and Syria.

The vast majority of cases have gone unpunished — as do more than 90 percent of violent crimes in Mexico.

Tell me:  if you wanted to report honestly about the extent of corruption in Mexico (along with, I suspect, El Salvador, Guatemala, and Honduras), and about the control drug cartels have, fueled by fear and the fact that virtually none of their violence is ever punished, how eager would you be to do so?

Not very, I suspect.

And – I can’t prove it but have a feeling – that goes for the “news” arms of Latino networks in the United States as well, like Telemundo, Univision, Estrella, UniMás and Azteca.

Anyone who thinks the murderous elements in Mexico would have any difficulty reaching into the USA is living in a dream world.

How easy is it to cross our border?  How many millions of illegals are already here?  I rest my case.

But, by all means, make sure no wall goes up.  Why would anyone want to make illegal entry into the United States difficult in any way?

  • . WHY MEXICAN MEDIA ARE SO EASY ON THE DRUG CARTELS…

Maybe the . same . reason . the US Media is so easy on the US–bound “Caravans” spontaneously forming in Central America

  • Here is a conspiracy for you.
    You have a drug cartel that makes $1b a week, that’s $52b a year.
In order to make this money you need the help of a powerful entity within the USA.
You realize that paying off the leaders of a
political party would give you the leverage you need.
So, 500 politicians’ at $50m each is $25b total.
Which is less than 6 months earnings.
Why else would Democrats fight for lower sentences for drug offenses, sanctuary cities, allow drug gangs to flourish in the cities they control, no border wall???
Next time you vote remember this.
