During last night’s debate I blogged the following:

Can anyone in her/his right mind claim Chris Wallace is asking the same kinds of questions of Biden that he’s asking of Trump?  These are two different moderators in the same body.

And after I wrote that?  It got nothing but worse.

Wallace was so obviously biased in Biden’s favor, so obviously asking “gotcha” questions of Trump versus often (not always, but often) tee-ups for Biden, that it was farcical.

Ryan Saavedra, at, wrote a commentary about Wallace’s performance which includes a group of tweets from media people who reacted to Wallace’s performance while the debate was going on.   Here is how it starts:

Fox News host Chris Wallace, a registered Democrat, faced intense backlash on Tuesday night for what was widely deemed as bias in the debate in the favor of Democrat Joe Biden and against Republican President Donald Trump.

One of the issues that Wallace was called out for the most was how he appeared to let Biden interrupt Trump but would jump in to interrupt Trump when Trump would talk over Biden.

And here is a partial sample of tweets he compiled – but there are a lot more, so I strongly suggest you use the link to see them all:

-Brian Kilmeade@kilmeade
Why is @JoeBiden allowed to interrupt? @realDonaldTrump is not
-Andy McCarthy  @AndrewCMcCarthy
Biden doesn’t support the Green New Deal.
Oh, Wallace got that out of him?
No, Trump did.
Oh, well, did Wallace clarify what’s parts of Green New Deal Biden is against?
No, needed to move on …
-Bill O’Reilly@BillOReilly
Good line from Trump—he tells Chris Wallace he’s debating him, not Joe.
-Harmeet K. Dhillon@pnjaban
Chris Wallace is a disgrace. Republicans need to stop allowing the slanted media to have any role in debates in future years.

The one positive thing Chris Wallace accomplished – other than earning a steak dinner from the Biden 2020 campaign – is that he proved beyond a doubt that Fox News Channel is not wholly stacked with political conservatives or Trump supporters.

The fact that he may have forever blown any reputation for professional integrity he had?  That comes along for the ride.

  • Amen Sir Ken. I hoped this debate would be a genuine exchange of political rivals. Obviously it was not. I was certain our American President D.R.Trump would shovel his way through the inquisition and bojive. He was obviously frustrated with the bias and lies against him. It amazes me Mr. Trump can persevere through the rubbish of another orchestrated and premeditated media event.

Cuppa Joe was no disappointment, just his usual diabolical self. Forty-seven years of his profitable abuse of a political career is more than enough damage to our Nation and Government.

Chris has certainly identified his bias and lack of genuine American favor and legacy. He must have had a very expensive steak dinner with the Cuppa Joe Campaign crew.

We can wonder how much farther and deeper this Presidency and our Constitutional Republic must descend into media and political chaos with two more such events?!
