I just read that Hillary Clinton’s speaking fee has dropped dramatically since losing the presidency to, arguably, the least electable candidate Republicans could have put up against her. Illustratively, her speech at Rutgers University last night went for a (relatively speaking) bargain-basement tariff of $25,000 – far from the $200,000 she has commanded in the past.
When department stores have stock that is not selling as well as it used to, they run clearance sales to attract buyers. Is that what we’re seeing here?
