The numbers are in. And Fox News again dominates.
For April, Fox averaged 2.4 million total prime time viewers. MSNBC, which used to be the doormat of the three cable news networks, is now up to 1.934 million. And CNN, which once dominated, is eating everyone else’s dust at 1.040 million.
Oh, and for anyone who thought that the country gave a damn about david hogg – the 17 year old “Parkland survivor” (a distinction he shares with all but 17 of the entire student body)…
…his call for a boycott of advertisers for Laura Ingraham’s show, “The Ingraham Angle”, which – accompanied by what seems clearly to have been a robocall attack on its advertisers, causing a good number of them to suddenly cancel -has backfired big-time.
Instead of tanking the show, it is booming in the ratings – which, no doubt, thrills the advertisers who stayed and the new ones who came on.
From Josh Feldman’s article at mediaite.com:
Ingraham, despite recent controversies surrounding her 10 p.m. show, had a big week in the ratings, managing to beat MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow — who rivals Hannity at 9 p.m. — in the key 25-54 demo for the first time ever. The Ingraham Angle notched 2.7 million total viewers and 556,000 in the demo.
I wonder how many of the former advertisers have quietly come back to Ms. Ingraham. I don’t wonder how many of them wish they had never left.
