It’s bad enough that ilhan omar, the Israel-hating, Jew-hating ignoramus from Minnesota, won election to the House of Representatives last year.
But do Democrats really have to stand behind her as she spouts her ignorance – in this case, by trivializing the 9/11 attack on our country?
As, I hope, you are aware, ilhan omar, while speaking before the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) – a terrorist-sympathetic political action entity concocted by the terrorist Muslim Brotherhood -characterized the 9/11 terrorist attack that killed almost 3,000 people and ruined countless lives, as “some people did something.”
That’s it. That’s what happened. “Some people did something”. Like some people organized a bake sale for the PTA. How’s that for trivialization?
In response, President Trump tweeted footage of omar making this comment, accompanied by footage of the 9/11 attack.
Is this fair?
You’re damn right it is. The 9/11 attack is specifically what she was trivializing/referring to as nothing more than “some people did something”.
But, to my (and, I hope, your) disgust, Democrat presidential candidates, one after the other, went full-bore in defending Rep. omar, by attacking President Trump for graphically connecting her comment to what she was commenting about.
Which candidates? Well, so far, we’re talking about Senator Elizabeth Warren, Senator Bernie Sanders, Senator Amy Klobuchar, South Bend, Indiana Mayor Peter Buttigieg, Washington Governor Jay Inslee and former Colorado Governor John Hickenlooper — with, I strongly suspect, more to come.
You can read their attacks in Cameron Cawthorne’s article at freebeacon.com.
Over the past several years, I have written extensively about the Democrat Party’s leftward lurch, along with its increasing hostility to Israel.
And here, as if to prove this is true, they have provided a “daily double”: an Israel hater making light – to say the least – of a terrorist attack on our country and being defended not by just Democrat presidential hopefuls, but three United States Senators, one Mayor and two Governors (so far).
If this isn’t a measure of where the once-great Democrat Party has sunk, I don’t know what is.
And that goes every bit as much for the mainstream media which have barely reported on the support ilhan omar’s comment has generated.
I guess they were too busy continuing their comprehensive coverage of the upcoming investigation into how Democrats and their DOJ/FBI operatives tried to undo the 2016 elec…..oh, wait.
