It is Cycle For Survival time again.
As I point out each year, I never used this blog to solicit a penny for anything. Not for the blog and not for any of the other worthy causes my family and I care about.
But this is one I make an exception for.
Every year, we participate in “Cycle For Survival”, which, through the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, funds clinical trials, studies and research initiatives to fight “rare cancers”.
As you may be aware, 100% of the money donated to Cycle For Survival goes directly to the fight against these cancers, which – despite that highly misleading “rare” description – include pediatric cancers, leukemia, lymphoma, and thyroid, ovarian and pancreatic cancers.
In fact, they account for about 50% of all cancer patients in the United States…which, I think you’ll agree, is anything but “rare”.
I doubt there is a person in this country who has not been affected by one or another of these cancers. Let’s DO something about it.
Any donation will be appreciated…but I don’t have to tell you that the more we collect, the more research can take place.
So if you want to join the fight, just CLICK HERE, and give what you can.
