Today, two things are happening to bruce ohr, the former FBI big shot who has been shamed, disgraced and demoted due to his unworthy, unethical behavior regarding the so-called “Steele dossier”.
-He will testify before a closed-door session of the House Oversight Committee, regarding his behavior – and, presumably, that of his wife who worked for Fusion GSP, the ones who got Christopher Steele on board for Hillary Clinton’s campaign and is as deep into this cesspool as her husband;
-The New York Times has published a loving, almost hagiographic narrative of what a terrific guy ohr is – just in time to attempt to discredit whatever negative fallout his testimony yields.
Here is just one segment – which should give you a pretty good idea of its direction:
“Occasionally you run across people from the Justice Department who have an air of superiority toward agents, and Bruce had none of that,” said Chris Swecker, a former senior F.B.I. official who worked with Mr. Ohr. “He was just the opposite. He was well liked at the F.B.I. and fought for their cases.”
In nearly three decades at the Justice Department, Mr. Ohr has made a career of supporting and facilitating important cases that targeted Russian organized crime. Now he is a target of President Trump, who has put his security clearance under review and attacked him publicly, and allies. They have cast Mr. Ohr and his wife — who worked as a contractor at the same research firm that produced a damaging dossier of information about Mr. Trump — as villains, part of a pro-Clinton cabal out to destroy the president.
But Mr. Ohr, 56, is far from corrupt, friends and former colleagues said. An experienced law enforcement official, he has a deep understanding of the underworld of Russian organized crime, they said, including raising concerns about at least one oligarch whose name has resurfaced amid the scrutiny of contacts between Trump associates and Russia.
Wow. Can sainthood be far behind?
I guess The Times just didn’t hear about ohr’s direct involvement in the steele dossier. And it just didn’t get around to reading the emails uncovered between ohr and steele which make it eminently clear that he was using his position in the FBI to be part of a surreptitious deep state dump-Trump conspiracy.
The New York Times used to be a newspaper. Honest.
What it is now? I don’t know exactly. But it’s nothing good.
