In 1995, the United States Congress, by a huge majority vote, committed the United States to moving its Israel Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.
Yet, neither President Clinton, nor Bush, nor Obama, bothered to do so.
Only after Donald Trump became president was this policy implemented.
In June of 2016, the United Kingdom voted “BREXIT”: a British exit from the European Union.
Yet here it is, over two years later, and no implementation. Instead Prime Minister (at least as of now), Theresa May, is fiddling and diddling with alternative plans, every one of which contradicts the voters’ will.
To the people of the United Kingdom, I say, welcome to the club. We’ve been there and done that. Our Jerusalem embassy move, apparently, is your BREXIT.
I hope you don’t have the same 21 more years to wait that we did.
