ACADEMIC “TOLERANCE”

Here is the latest example of “tolerance” from academia…and the left wing zealots who appear, more and more, to be in complete charge of it. Excerpted from an article at nationalreview.com: Former Secretary of State Condoleeza Rice is withdrawing from the Rutgers commencement ceremony. Her invitation by the school\’s board of governors had sparked protests from faculty...

OBAMACARE AND THE ECONOMY

Does this administration ever tell the truth about anything?  It is hard to find an example….and far harder to find one if you\’re looking at ObamaCare. Excerpted from an editorial in yesterday\’s edition of Investors Business Daily: Sophistry:The White House and Democrat media are happily reporting that arecord spike in health care spending saved the economy...

THE QUOTE OF THE DAY

Today\’s quote comes to us from the increasingly bizarre Chris Matthews – a writer/commentator who used to be worth paying attention to, but has become so subservient to his far-left masters that, with a painted smirk on his face, he does little now but mind-numbingly recite the words they want to hear. Here, from yesterday\’s “Hardball” show, is his comment about...

“DUDE, THIS WAS LIKE TWO YEARS AGO”

In case you think Chris Matthews is the only one – or even the worse one – trying to cover the Obama Administration\’s thoroughly exposed rear end on Benghazi, try this on for size. Excerpted from Paul Szoldra\’s article at businessinsider.com: FormerWhite House National Security Council spokesman Tommy Vietor went onFox News on Thursday, and after host Brett Baier...

THE QUOTE OF THE DAY

Today\’s quote comes to us from Mike McCurry, former press secretary to Bill Clinton, talking about how Hillary Clinton – other than Barack Obama, arguably the single most protected politician in the country – regards the press. When asked why Ms. Clinton does not try harder to engage the press (as if she needed to for positive coverage) this, so help me, is what he actually...

“JOB GROWTH” – THE REAL STORY

Don\’t you love it when a single table makes things so clear that there is no room for doubt? If so, you\’ll love this one, based on Bureau of Labor Statistics data, which tells us what “job growth” means in the era of Obama: Notice where the jobs are being created…………and where they are not? And please be aware that my source for...

IMMIGRATION REFORM, GOVERNMENT-STYLE (ATTENTION: OBAMACARE SUPPORTERS)

The following chart, pulled from an article at McClatchy.com, is for anyone who is under the impression that government can be counted on to work capably or efficiently: Take a good look. Notice how many more paid government employees there are….and how many fewer positive results there are. Now think about government running your health care – i.e. overseeing your physical and...

THE BENGHAZI “SMOKING GUN” EMAIL AND SLATE.COM

Let me start by assuring President Obama, his people, and very especially Hillary Clinton, that they have little to worry about.  Their Accomplice Media are burying this story, just as they have buried everything else about the Benghazi massacre once they could not blame it on the video anymore.  Illustratively, The Today Show this morning gave it two or three sentences...

OBAMACARNAGE: HOW MANY PEOPLE ACTUALLY PAID PREMIUMS?

For months we have been told that an estimated 15% to 20% of ObamaCare sign-ups have not paid any premiums, and therefore are not actually sign-ups at all. Well, you can forget that estimate.  It is not even close. From the House Energy & Commerce Committee\’s own web site we have this: Dataprovided to the committee by every insurance provider in the healthcare...

THE DONALD STERLING PUNISHMENT: WHAT WILL HAPPEN NEXT?

This is not a prediction.  This is an expectation. NBA team owners will vote unanimously to uphold the punishment meted out to Los Angeles Clippers owner donald sterling.  How could they not?  Any owner who voted against it would be seen as a racist apologist…and would be tarred and feathered by the players, the media, and (outwardly at least) most fans and most other...

DAMN THAT PRESIDENT BUSH (CONT.)

Gross Domestic Product (GDP) for 4th quarter 2013 grew at an anemic 2.6%. GDP for 1st quarter 2014 was expected to grow at an even worse 1.2% GDP for 1st quarter 2014 actually grew at a virtually nonexistent 0.1%. Damn that President Bush.  It\’s still his fault….five and a half years after he left office.  Just ask any member of the Obama administration.

SECRETARY OF STATE KERRY\’S “ACCOMPLISHMENTS”

I have often blogged about how little in the way of accomplishments John Kerry has to show for his 30 year plus career in politics, very much including his short stint as Secretary of State.  But Edward-Isaac Dovere, writing for politico.com has shown me the error of my ways.  Here, excerpted from his latest article, is a list that, admittedly, I had not considered: Nameone...
