NEW HAMPSHIRE SO FAR

Bernie Sanders is ahead. Pete Buttigieg is close behind in second. Amy Klobuchar is showing significant life in third place. Joe Biden, who, at best, will finish fourth in New Hampshire but probably will finish fifth, is going to hang around at least through Super Tuesday. Ditto for Elizabeth Warren, the likely fourth place finisher, who is going nowhere despite New Hampshire being next-door to...

THE ROGER STONE SENTENCING STINK

So prosecutors from the Mueller staff – i.e. all Democrats, no Republicans – recommend a 7-9 year prison term for Roger Stone – a Republican political operative who seems to do nothing more or less than other political operatives do… …President Trump raises holy hell over it, tweeting that: This is a horrible and very unfair situation. The real crimes were on the...

NO, BIDEN DID NOT SAY HE WAS A CAUCUS

Yes, it sort of sounded like, just before Biden insulted that young woman, he said “I was a caucus”. But, in actuality, if you listen closely (and use some common sense) you realize he said “Iowa’s a caucus”, meaning Iowa is a caucus state. That doesn’t make the insult any more palatable, but at least he didn’t declare himself a political process.

MY PILLOW(S) AND DEER CARCASS COMPLAINTS

Apropos of nothing political… … Dad brownish colored couchpillow sitting on the left shoulder of Rte.34/9, southbound, about a 10th of a mile before the Penyak billboard has been there for something like 4 months. Long enough for it to acquire a friend;   A lighter-colored, patterned couch pillow a couple of 100 feet before it, also on the left shoulder.   Whoever is responsible...

GETTING AT TRUMP THROUGH STONE

Roger Stone is a long-time political operative. Roger Stone operates the way just about every other political operative does. But for being politically conservative and supporting President Trump, the people who are enraged that they can’t lay a hand on Trump intend to get back at him through others. Michael Flynn was one of them.  Carter Page was another.  And now there is Stone...

WHAT YOU SAY WHEN YOU ARE GOING TO LOSE

The following quote is from Joe Biden’s Press Secretary, Symone Sanders (an overt racist – click here and here to find out why): “Biden has been campaigning vigorously … in New Hampshire and we think that the voters of New Hampshire — they have not gone to the polls yet and they are going to give us the rankings on Tuesday. The reality is, that whatever happens...

DID MICHAEL BLOOMBERG REALLY SAY THAT? (IF SO, BYE-BYE PRESIDENTIAL HOPES)

Here (unless it is a fake, which I don’t think it is) we have Mr. Bloomberg, during a speech at the 2015 Aspen Institute, explaining how you lower crime in big cities: “95 percent of your murders—murderers and murder victims fit one M.O. You can just take the description. Xerox it and pass it out to all the cops. They are male, minorities, sixteen to twenty-five. That’s true in New...

IN CASE ANYONE STILL CARES ABOUT IOWA…

…despite the fact the “final” totals from Iowa were released on Sunday, which showed Buttigieg with more delegates but Sanders with more votes, both Buttigieg and Sanders have asked that the voting be re-investigated. Well, that means Pete Buttigieg and Bernie Sanders care. But with New Hampshire’s primary today and Nevada, South Carolina and “Super Tuesday”...

THE ROMNEY CPAC UNINVITATION

Mitt Romney was invited to this year’s Conservative Political Action Committee (CPAC) conference. Now he is uninvited.  Here’s why: The organizer of the Conservative Political Action Conference defended his decision to uninvite Sen. Mitt Romney — saying the Utah Republican’s vote for more witnesses and documents in President Trump’s impeachment trial would make him unsafe...

THE QUOTE OF THE DAY

Today’s quote comes to us from presidential hopeful Pete Buttigieg;  Harvard graduate, Rhodes Scholar and Oxford graduate Pete Buttigieg. Here, from an interview yesterday, is how Mr. Buttigieg characterizes his potential presidency: “Well, if we’re talking about a voter interested in progressive change, my message is that I would be the most progressive president we’ve...

DEMOCRAT POLITICIDE

Politicide is the act of self-destructing politically. And Democrats seem determined to become even more successful at it than they’ve already been for the past year. Did they happen to notice that, from the start of the impeachment inquiry to the inevitable senate acquittal, President Trump’s approval ratings went up, not down? Maybe not.  Or maybe they just don’t think the...

WAS BIDEN JOKING WHEN HE CALLED THE WOMAN “A LYING DOG-FACED PONY SOLDIER”??

Yesterday, during an exchange with a young woman at an event in New Hampshire, presidential candidate Joe Biden told her “You’re a lying, dog-faced pony soldier.” This generated laughter from some (by no means all) members of the audience which, presumably, was comprised of Biden supporters. Was Biden serious?  Did he mean it as an insult or a joke? Let’s start with what...

DOES ANYONE CARE WHAT SNOOP DOGG SAYS ABOUT ANYTHING?

Calvin Broadus is a rap singer who performs using the name Snoop Dogg (formerly Snoop Doggy Dogg). After Kobe Bryant died, CBS News reporter Gayle King mentioned that he had once been accused of rape. Broadus/Dogg decided that wasn’t nice, and put out a profanity-saturated attack on her, including the words “back off bitch before we come get you”. It generated a lot of bad...

POST-OSCARS

Yes, some self-impressed actors who think their political opinions are meaningful to anyone but themselves and their pals used the Oscar show to give us left wing lectures. Yawn. Oh, and a bunch of Oscars went to extremely violent movies….featuring the kind of behavior we were lectured about, except if they make money they’re OK. The end. ============== OK, one post-script: ...
