Actions have consequences.
And the blatant attempts to censor free speech currently being utilized by twitter, facebook, etc. seems to be proving that point.
From Allum Bohhari’s article at breitbart.com, we have this:
Gab.com, the free speech friendly social network, says traffic has increased by more than 750 percent in the past few days, following the blacklisting of President Donald Trump from most mainstream tech platforms.
“Our traffic is up 753% in the past 24 hours. Tens of millions of visits,” said Gab in response to a question about slow loading speeds.
The free speech network announced that it would bring ten new servers online to handle the increased traffic volume.
The article goes on to point out that Gab, like Parler, has been banned from Apple and Google app stores for years.
But if Gab is now proliferating, even without Apple and Google, maybe it will be a factor in breaking the virtual monopoly leftward social media currently enjoy.
How ironic would it be if this bunch, in trying to censor what we see and what we say, is inadvertently building its own major competition…and doing so because people demand freedom of speech?
