First the tweet, as reported in Jordan Lancaster’s article at dailycaller.com, which detailed the attempts of “protesters” (fascists who only want their side heard, to be more exact) blocking access to Mount Rushmore so that it would look like President Trump’s speech was not well attended:
“Trump has disrespected Native communities time and again,” the Democratic party’s official Twitter account wrote in a now-deleted tweet. “He’s attempted to limit their voting rights and blocked critical pandemic relief. Now he’s holding a rally glorifying white supremacy at Mount Rushmore, a region once sacred to tribal communities.”
There’s the tweet. Now the question.
During the eight years that Barack Obama and Joe Biden were President and Vice President, did you ever hear a thing about Mount Rushmore equating to White supremacy and suggesting it was an affront to “tribal communities”? An article? A news feature? Anything?
Maybe you can come up with one or two if you really try, but a) that would be about all, and b) I’m not sure you could even get that many.
So what happened that made this a front-burner issue, other than the fact that President Trump made a speech there?
Nothing, that’s what.
If you want a definition of Trump Derangement Syndrome, that should probably be a part of it.
